Blood Work???

Posted on October 23, 2012 at 9:41am 6 Comments

Got the results of my bloodwork back and am happy to see that my A1C went from 6.7 down to 6.0; lowest I ever had.

For the Creatinine normal is 0.70-1.33 mg/dl I am at 1.44

eGFR Non-Afr. American > OR = 60 ml/min/1.73m2 I am at 54

RDW 11.0-15.0% I am at 15.2

Cholesterol, Total 125-200 mg/dl I am at 114

Should I be concerned about any of the blood work that is out of range? I am not familiar with the creatitine, eGFR or RDW.

What in the hell was I thinking when I decided to go eat at a pizza buffet today? I started my meal off with 10 units of insulin and then dove into the pizza like a shark in a feeding frenzie. I finally came up for air after I was totally stuffed. It felt really good to do this since I haven't in such a long time and then the guilt set in about I shouldn't have done this. Then the 2 hour after meal bg check; I am already in the mid 200's. I then give myself another 5 units to try and bring…

Exercise and jelly beans; how does this work?

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 7:56am 12 Comments

I see on this website where a good many people use jelly beans for treating lows while exercising. How do you judge how many to eat and how often if you are being active for several hours?

Thank you for saying so...I just went outside and watered my plants, heard the birds chirping and saw the sun shining. I sensed a wonderful calmness and joy, and know that my daddy and your sis are in that place of peace for always. So even as I miss him.. I know how it has to be so wonderful for him in his new abode.
God bless,
Brunetta
