It can be such a major decision to start the pump, so much to learn and share. Maybe we can all make the adjustment a little easier if have one another to lean on.

becoming a pumper!

Today I received my One Touch Ping in the mail! Unfortunately I have to wait until August 10th to be trained for it, so until then I just have to sit around and look at it. I am getting really excited though, and I can't wait until I can start it!

I will have to start thinking of a name for my new pink best friend. what have you guys named your pumps? also if anyone has any advice for me before starting on the pump, that would be appreciated too!

Hi Vered! Thanks for the comment and encouragement!

We are both recently diagnosed! How have your first 9 months been? Do you feel better adjusted now? Everything still feels so new for me...hoping in a few more months things will feel more natural.

I'm going to have my first A1C test since diagnosis on Thursday...I hope I've made a lot of improvement! I am SO IMPRESSED with your A1C...any tips?

Thanks again for the comment!

Welcome to TuD, Vered. I'm glad you found us. I lived in Princeton and Lambertville for a few years in the late 60s and early 70s. We did get over to the Jersey Shore, too. Those are the parts of NJ I know. They were all quite lovely......Be sure to check out all the groups and don't hesitate to dive into any discussion, old or new......
