- I am a type 1 diabetic since February of 2007. I am a young person that believes that with activity diabetes can be controlled easier and in a better way. Diabetes is simply a life style where you take care of your self more than non diabetic persons do, you watch your diet and activity.
People should understand that diabetes is not a sickness but only a special situation of the body that can be managed if they are careful.
I organized a number of 25 people with type 1 diabetes that ran Marathon of Skopje on 06.04.2012 with their logo saying : "I am running for diabetes, not for glory" and "Be active for a better control on diabetes". Now we are a team and we are called Team Type 1 Macedonia, we are working for informing people in Macedonia about diabetes and how to prevent and control it. Our main goal is to educate people with diabetes about diabetes and show them that diabetes should not be a secret of them as many wish to keep.

This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.
