Looks interesting but it doesn't appear to be wireless. There is still a tube running from the pump to the injection site which is no different than having your pump sit on your belt and running a tube to the injection site (heldheld unit or not--...

I'm like you Don - didn't find it boring at all - same feelings as you (am I a geek??). I wrote to the company last month, and am waiting for more to be released via snail mail when it becomes available (am sure any of you who wrote to them got th...

Met a guy recently that created his own pump that was completely ran by his iPhone. Seriously! Saw him using it! The technology is out there it's just a matter of convincing the "deep pockets" this is what we want.

Am I seeing the same video as everyone else? Not boring at all. Very slick, modern concept. A certain amount of cynicism is warranted given how wooden many pumps are in features but I am hopeful. Ironic that a British company is the one developing...

Hi Jon, It is an insulin pump and glucose meter in one. I didn't watch the entire video (I also got a bit bored with it) but I had a live demo in Europe last week. The first version will not have a CGM but the plan is to have one in later version...

Hi Vickie, Looks interesting. Thanks for sharing. It appears it is a insulin pump and glucose meter in one. Not sure if I saw that correctly? It is an awfully long and boring video, maybe we should let their marketing dept know. But it looks cool...

Gawd what a horrible website! Falling asleep while waiting for each page to load, and I'm on fast DSL. If they over-complicate their technology like they do their website, not sure I'd want in. Some of the screens on the device look cute, but wil...

This is not a pump. It accurately and non-invasively tests glucose, hemoglobin, and oxygen saturation with very high sensitivity. I hope insurance will cover it so I can give my poor little caloused fingers a break, not worry about a CGM, and read...

Now I got the Medingo Israeli Solo pump demo box and that does not look nearly as cool as this one does! Wow, this looks great. I remember doing a survey from this company about what someone might like in a pump. I remember the touch screen/Iphone...

Italy has a non invasive glucometer made by a company in Isreal. When is the U.S. going to get it and at what price. We will probably have to pay big money once it is okayed.OrSense, by Ziona, looks pretty space age but I already feel like a cybor...

Anyone see this yet? http://www.cellnovo.com/#/home/ Suppose to be approved in the US in Q2/Q3 of 2010. I'm betting later than that, they seem to still have a lot to work out, but I for one can't wait. I've been using the MiniMed for 10 years now...

I agree there are pros and cons, but if we share our experiences with these companies it puts them in a better position to understand our true concerns and frustrations. Which can lead to better products and support. So I'm for it as long as it is...

One of the actions of Symlin is to slow the stomach's ability to empty. This is true when trying to get glucose into your system when blood glucose levels are too low. Usually if you take meal time insulin, that dose is decreased by half when star...

Hey Vickie! Just noticed you're coming to the IDF Diabetes Congress. I'm all geared up. Going over the seminars, etc. Going over how to get in the right door (I'm a volunteer on 18/19 - then a free agent for the rest of the week - not bad for 16 hours of volunteering). I may or may not be wearing my devil horns (like you see in my pic) - all depends on how many weird looks I get of disgust. Text me if you want to meet up for a coffee or whatever (I know Nel does when she gets into town on the 21st). Will PM you my cell number after this.

Hi Vickie! With two hours in Budapest, I think that you should head up to the castle district and walk around. You can get great views of the city from up there as well!
