Hi Wendy,

You're welcome! Well I hope the pump works out for you.So is it your blood sugars that are making you unsure about the pump so far or have you had other issues with the Omnipod? My biggest issues with it was the cannula was always coming out slightly..just enough to make it so no error messages would go off where I was unaware there was any problem and then my sugars would skyrocket and I wouldn't know what was going on. Maybe that is what is going on with yours?? It happened constantly and I got several really bad infections at the infusion sites because of it as well as extremely high and dangerous blood sugars where I got really sick from it. I also had a lot of pod failures so I got to the point where I was afraid to leave the house worried one would fail while I was out..which they did on several occasions so I finally just switched pumps because it got way too stressful for me. When it worked I thought it was great although I didn't like that you couldn't take it off as I can with the one I have now. I haven't had any real issues with the MM one. But no I am not on the CGM. My insurance will cover it but not sure I want one more thing to worry about or have attached to me for now. I guess that's crazy since my insurance will cover it but for now I feel I do well enough doing blood tests but maybe I will start it later on at some point. So we'll see!! :) It only took me like 20 some yrs to finally decide to go on a pump..guess you could call me a procrastinator!!!! :0)
