"@ Karen: yes there's a difference in treatment. Do some Google searches. You'll find lots of info out there. LADA is one form of Type 1, which has a slower onset. It's autoimmune, whereas T2 isn't. Both are approached differently…"

Wow! That must have been a shock to be diagnosed after all those years of working in the industry. I didn't know what diabetes was when I was diagnosed at age 21.
