- (2010)Switched this week from Disetronic (10+ years) to Medtronic 722 (hate it) - Update 02/2012 Only lasted about 3 days with Medtronic Pump since I hated it so much, have been taking Lantus/Humalog shots ever since.

- I am a self-employed professional, who works primarily from home; Single Mom (long time) with 2 children ages 11 and 22 - Older son is graduating Emory University this year (May 2012)...When I lived down South (2002-10) I was shocked to realize that health insurance impossible to obtain for those who are healthy/active/employed diabetics. Even when ill I would not agree to be "poor enough" (stop working to get Medicaid) or accept "disabled" title to get Medicare - Moved back to NY solely to get health insurance for me and my children. The politics of health care, plus the focus on illness, instead of wellness, here in the USA is ridiculous...
