Hope you can make it to the meet & greet in San Francisco next Tuesday:

Hi Amanda,
Would be happy to grab coffee with the group.
I have reluctantly kept with the Omnipod until the new pump comes out from Minimed which is supposed to be tubeless (won't be out until next year...maybe?). It's not the Omnipod I dislike, it's the company and its customer service. Anyway, I think you'll be happy with the Omnipod as it's a good pump and reliability issues have improved.

Hi Amanda,

I am also a member of this group and a Type 1 Diabetic. I thought you might be interested in meeting other Type 1s and wanted to let you know that I am the organizer of a meetup group called G.A.T.E.-Gastroparesis And Type1 Diabetes Exchange.

It is for Type 1s as well as for those with Gastroparesis and their caregivers. You can have either condition separately and don't need to have both to join. It is a support and activities group for people with similar conditions to interact, network, participate in discussions, ask questions, share experiences, or to vent frustrations. I will also have guest speakers periodically.

This is a new group that will meet in Union City on the third Sunday of each month starting May 17. If you would like to learn more, please check us out

G.A.T.E. website:
http://www.meetup.com/Type1Diabetes-GP-SupportGroup/

I hope you will consider joining us for a future meeting.

Thanks,
Margaret

Greetings Amanda....how's it all going....any questions/suggestions?

I am part of the Welcome Committee and was just checking in on you to make sure you are aware of all that TuDiabetes has to offer. We would love to hear from you so here is a helpful link where you can read about all the things you can do in the community.

I learn SO much from the community... I think that is one of the most beautiful things: we get by giving, you know?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, busy life, doesn't leave much time for checking things.. Never the less, here I am! I don't really have a strict routine, at least I don't think I do.. But I am a dancer and a competitive swimmer.. Staying active helps a lot I think. And I eat very healthy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy chocolate and desserts as much as the next person does, so I allow myself those of course. What is your lifestyle like?

Hey Amanda! Yes, I do wear the Omnipod that has a cordless remote. I have had great success using it. I have only been on it for about 6 months, but so far so good! Insulet is an amazing company. I only have wonderful things to say about them! Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help!
