Would love to hear stories and experiences about Type 1 and Kidney issues

I'm a 39 year old with Type 1 for about 16 years. Much of those 16 years in denial about the whole thing. Not until recent years have I started to really take control, however as of late I've been running in to problems, latest of which is kidney function. I'm scared. And I'd like to hear about anyone who has run in to kidney problems and successfully dealt with it or turn it around.See More

"I have to say in my 16 years of struggling with Type 1, the thing that has helped me the most and I can now NOT live without is the GCM, it has single handedly been responsible for getting better control of my Hba1c's."

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment.
