It came as a shock, I'd been pretty much healthy till April this year. I'd been sick and stressed for a month and ended up in the ER with ketoacidosis. After taking insulin shots for 4 months and going for lots of blood work, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
I don't try to hide it because it's such a huge part of my life. I want to do much more for diabetes awareness in this part of the world. I want a cure too, because I don't think anyone deserves diabetes, be it Type 1 or Type 2.

Your HbA1C is great.
We don't know each other but I have to tell you something. Last year I had a long bad period with negative feelings and bad eating habits and then... ...then one of your comments on flickr gave me strenght to continue my fight. It was your HbA1C... It was a real shock therapy for me.
Thanks, now I'm OK again! My HbA1C is 5.5 now.
