OK. I don't want to seem to know more than your doctors. I find with diabetes, everyone can be so different.

But the reason that I think it is important to get your ratios right is that it can give you a more flexible lifestyle. Since I have my basal (like long acting) insulin set right, then if I don't feel like eating, then I don't need to. I am not on a fixed schedule.
