I like the Insets - they are very similar to the cleo's (to me at least) in terms of insertion and mechanics. There are tons of other sets out there also, your supply company would probably send you free samples if you ask for some the next time y...

My Aunt Robin

Okay so my Aunt Robin is in Texas for the first time in like 20 years. The last time I saw her was when I was 11 (I'm now 20.) This seems like a huge dream... and that is not a good thing (but it is not bad). She had put our family through so much crap. You see her real mom died when she was 14 and apperantly everything has gone down hill since. She has even made alligations that my dad molested me (SO NOT TRUE!!!!!!) But in the past year she seems to have made a drastic change...for the better?… Continue

Diabetes Burn-Out

I have had diabetes since 1998 (10years) and have been on a MM 722 pump since April 2007.

I AM SICK OF DIABETES!!!!!!!!! Has anyone else had a burn-out from diabetes? I just want to take a brake with out putting my self on a death bed. I wish I had just one day where I did not have to worry what my blood sugar was. If I have enough supplies for the day when I leave the house. If I should take some syringes in case my pump fails.

Then we have the insurance compa

Small Town Humor....

Ok so I was on my way to the base this morning to pick up my dad (who has PT at 6am?!?) and there was like 6 cars in line with the MP (military police) standing in the road. This solider drives up next to me and waved at my to roll down my window. So I do and he says "Man have you ever seen a traffic jam like this!" I was thinking to myself IT IS ONLY 6 CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just moving from one of the largest cities in the country(Houston,tx) I have seen traffic jams were you are sitting in your… Continue

Hi Emily,

Here's the recipe for steak & wine sauce

1 flank steak
2 tbl soy sauce
2 tbl dried thyme
1 cup red wine ( I use riunite)
1/2 stick butter
3-4 green onions chopped

Place steak in plastic bag with soy sauce and thyme. Marinate in fridge for 4-6 hours. Grill 3-4 minutes on each side or till medium ( or however you like your steak). While steak is cooking, combine wine, butter and green onions is saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10minutes. Slice steak across the grain and pour sauce over.

Enjoy!

Hi Emily! I have lived on OKC nearly my entire life and I have a wonderful Endo. there are many great ones though. I am a patient of Diana Kennedy at Mercy Hospital. There is also a group called the Endocrine group at Deaconess and Cheryl Black would be my pick there. I wish you the best!
