Lindsay replied to Bram's discussion 'PEN MIX-UP' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"Like the others ..... welcome to the club. Yeah, been there, done that. I mean, really, it's gonna happen sooner or later. I'm so glad you got through it. And it sounds like your new wife (Michelle?) is a cool head. A very good sign. Good…"

Lindsay replied to Mikey's discussion 'Changing needles on your pen.' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"> How often do you change the needle on your pens? Nobody, anywhere recommends this but I only change the needle occasionally. Or when it starts to feel dull; or if it gets bent; or if the pen is used in a potentially dirty environment. Sometimes…"

Lindsay replied to gabby's discussion 'Descrimination from a GUIDANCE COUNCILOR!'
"Wow. Lots of great feedback. All of it is good even if not all of it is in total agreement. I didn't read each and every comment closely but I read enough to appreciate what a great opportunity this is for .... you, the CG, your school…"

Lindsay replied to Leslie Dare's discussion 'Injecting Through Clothing' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"Obviously, per many of the responses here, lots of people do inject through their clothes. Regularly. I had no idea it was so common. I've injected through my clothes only occasionally on an as necessary for the circumstance basis. I just…"

Lindsay replied to Leslie Dare's discussion 'Injecting Through Clothing' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"Wow. That's some fine sensation sensing. Really? I'm impressed. And envious. I was not aware one could do this. What is it precisely you discern? I would love to be able to foretell if an injection is going to be a bleeder. But I've…"

Lindsay commented on Leslie Dare's group 'Insulin Pen Users'
"Rosie, where are you injecting when you get these lumps? Do they occur only at certain injection sites and not at other sites? How often does this happen? How long do the pink lumps remain? How long do they ache? What kind of insulin are your using?…"

Lindsay replied to CaKats's discussion 'Cases for Flex Pins. Cases for everything, meters, strips, logbook, lancets' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"PS - I've posted this suggestion to other threads but I think it worth posting again. In every city there are one or two or three or more drug stores that specialize in diabetes supplies and support. These are typically independent drug stores…"

Lindsay replied to CaKats's discussion 'Cases for Flex Pins. Cases for everything, meters, strips, logbook, lancets' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"There are many options depending on just how much you want to carry and whether you want to carry it altogether or in 1, 2 or 3 separate packages. For example, I use my glucometer more than anything else so I carry it (and all associated supplies)…"

Chele replied to Lindsay's discussion 'some recent thoughts and news about insulin pens' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"I also am on Lantus and Novolog (flexpen ) and have been on both for 6 years. I am still refining the Lantus and the sliding scale for the Novolog. I started out on 15U of Lantus once a day, at present I am down to 10U twice a day. It seems I was…"

Zolar1 replied to Lindsay's discussion 'Do you keep your pens in the refrigerator after first use?' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"from what I read, once a pen is opened, you have to toss it 10 days later. I use mine till it's gone, regardless of the time frame. And once opened, I don't put it back into the fridge. At nearly $300/box, it's like liquid gold."

Chaplain ET replied to Lindsay's discussion 'some recent thoughts and news about insulin pens' in the group Insulin Pen Users
"I'm on the Lantus SoloStar pen, Lindsay.  It COMES with 300 ml of Lantus (insulin glucogene) pre-loaded.  All you have to do is attach a pen needle, and dial your dose.  Mine is 20 units, so that's not too bad. …"

Chaplain ET replied to Lindsay's discussion 'Do you keep your pens in the refrigerator after first use?' in the group Insulin Pen Users

Lindsay replied to Amy's discussion '2nd pen in the box to be defective' in the group Insulin Pen Users
