"The correct level or carb intake is the one that enables you to meet your goals. For some people 100-120 will work. I personally have had to completely eliminate the carbs that were causing me to spike over 140, which I have set as my goal. Foods I…"

New to EVERYTHING... even this site :P

Hi everyone !!! Just wanted to introduce myself and get some pointers from everyone. I am 24 and I was diagnosed with diabetes about 1.5 years ago. Well this past November we ( The hubs and myself ) decided we wanted to have a baby, even though we already have a mastiff baby :) . I recently had an a1c of 6.6 and my triglycerides were 400 ( outrageous I know ). I am looking for foods and snacks that can help me with both of those. I am going to take a class next month but I want to get a head…See More

Hi my name is Ashley. I am from Tupelo but I recently moved to El Paso with my husband for his work as a NICU nurse. I was diagnosed with T2 after I went to the hospital for a kidney infection. They told my that my blood sugar was 185 and had not eat anything in over 5 hours. Well enough about me :)

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
