getting back into shape...

Hey everyone, So I'm trying to get back into shape and I mean really get back into shape! I used to dance, run and do martial arts, for about 2.5-3hrs/day 5days a week (this was almost 6years ago!) . Now if I get 3hrs of workout per week in I am proud of myself! sad I know, haha.Anyway, I had some questions: 1. How many hours a day do you usually workout for? and how many days a week? 2. what types of workouts do you do? 3. What do your meals on the days you workout and don't workout look…See More

destructive cycle

Sorry, but here is another blog about how I'm not doing well. For the most part I do EXCELLENT during the day, BG's are in normal range, I eat well, workout and feel amazing. But at night once I come home and the all the days work and stress seem to become more visible and I cave in and basically give up. I don't care what I eat and I'll keep eating until almost an hour before bed which is 12 or 1am. This is really unhealthy and unproductive because I start my day early 7am and because I binge…See More

although I feel like I've failed, I have no other option but to try again... I will one day get this right and hopefully not spend another day, night or minute looking back and wishing that I had tried harder, been stronger and enjoyed myself. I am upset that I have T1D, how can I not be. But, I am mainly upset that I let it control me so much and make me lose faith and confidence in myself. I wish there was a quick fix for how I felt right now but there isn't. Instead I have to face these…See More

I like the days where things happen in my life that make me forget about having T1D. They don't have to be big... they just make me smile or make me upset but they aren't T1D related, AT ALL. They are about the 'normal' things that everyone my age goes through and day dreams about. For half a minute I remember what it felt like before T1D...
And when I do remember that I have T1D again, for some reason it just doesn't hurt as bad.....
