Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.
I spent the better part of the day in Jackson at my endo's office. All is well diabetes wise and for the fourth time in a row my A1c was 5.8. Four times in a row must mean that I am doing something right caring for the diabetes. So yay me!!
Now tonight I will see if I can tear that trend up with a little birthday cake and ice cream.

D&D #15 - Turned 100
Okay, so I didn't turn 100. I did have my 100 anniversary for dialysis on yesterday. I have made it through 100 dialysis sessions. Yea me!!
Actually I do think it's something to be a little proud of. That means I have spent over 400 hours with my butt glued to that chair sleeping and watching TV. Now you can ask any man and they will tell you that is quite an accomplishment. Most of the time the nagger-in-chief will walk in and wake us… Continue

Diabetes and Dialysis #14
Another month has gone by and Christmas is just a few weeks away. Most of the shopping is done and we go to get our tree tomorrow.
I am just a big kid and I love Christmas. I love the tree, and by the way it MUST be a live one. Ain't no plastic tree in my house. Our family has always favored long needle pines. My dad liked white pines. In North Carolina we used to go out in the woods and cut one down. Usually they were yellow pines but we loved… Continue

Diabetes and Dialysis #13
Well here it is the month of November. Thanksgiving will be here soon and Christmas won't be far behind.
On the dialysis front I am still in goal on all my blood tests. In fact, other than my protein levels, everything is spot on. My protein is in the band just a little lower than they would like.
