Hey Candy - noticed you are going on the pump. You are going to love it so much, just be patient during the learning curve (I had to learn to have patience ) - and you'll do fine. Before I went on the pump, I was injecting on average about 8 times a day - tho' if you saw the needles I used to use back in the 60's/70's - you'd understand why I can say the needles we use today, teflon coated, 32 gauge, they are nothing compared to the needles we old timers used that were meant for elephants buttocks . My God daughter's son is going onto a pump soon (only 10) - and he's so excited that he's getting one - and he's looking forward to visiting me here in Montreal - so we can bolus for meals (he knows more about insulin/carbs then I ever did at his age). I wrote about him here if you want to take a peak (link is also on my Home Page here at Tudiabetes).
Au revoir for now!
