Hello Carb,
I wanted to stop by to say THANK YOU once more for your kind donation back in September.

Also, I wanted to give you a very special heads up about this year's Big Blue Test:

I'm really kind of wrecked. This isn't about me. Missy attracts good folks around her and I am so thankful that she considers me a friend. At the moment I feel somewhat inadequate. I did manage to convince her to bunk with Kit who also happens to be T1. Stress makes Missy's BG drop like a rock so I'd feel better if she were somewhere where they knew the deal intimately. Kit is my hero.

Carb101,
I apologize I hadn't replied to your question about removing a friend (I am not too good at keeping up with my comments here, I am way better with private messages and emails!) :)

Below the photo of the person you want to remove as a friend, there should be a link that reads "Remove As Friend". Click on it and that should remove the person from your friends.

I think you were right to close the discussion. Unfortunately, the whole diet/low carb debate is one of those devisive issues. I am sure you will find a diet that will keep your daughter healthy, happy and full of energy.

Hi there

Welll I see you have gotten a great amount of feedback.. I will make it short and sweet----Good Carbs versus bad carbs, the diet she is following is fine, and if she has energy and her blood work is healthy for a child her age, then she is just fine, I would not worry. At the same time there is nothing at all wrong with inputing some healthy complex carbs, such as a Sweet potatoe or an apple, or hey what about some steel oats with almond butter in the morning, all of those suggestions, are super , supers healthy, and break down slowly in the body, but amongst other things they delay the breakdown of sugar....Good Luck to you..

Yeah... :) I've joined the Iowans with Diabetes group, and met him. A lot of nice folks from Iowa, here... We were planning a meet up, at some point, but I think it will be more in September for the TCOYD conference, in Des Moines. :) Wish I had more gal pals around here, though... Will try to visit the support group I always miss. LOL Once a month is tough to get down! hehe
