I have been trying to keep my blood sugar under 200 to bring down my a1c - i eat more fiber and protein as well as ride my bike everywhere/go to the gym 3 times/week.

Allie Beatty said… - Hey Chrissie - on animal insulin I **feel** the FULL MENU of hypo symptoms -- LOUD AND CLEAR. The first few days on it I woke up in the middle of the night in pools of sweat, cold and weak when my sugar dropped just below 60 mg/dL. On Apidra or Humalog -- I never had those symptoms. Go figure. Symptoms of LOWS are more identifiable and pronounced as it's *falling* on animal-insulin, too.
