Marie B said… well, John who answered your question is known as @joltdude on Twitter, he is an IT guy, quite helpful. I'm @MarieBe there and you should also follow @askmanny (our fearless leader here) and also @diabeteshf
let me know what your Twitter name is, also, we have a really good simple tutorial right here in our Twitterbetics group if you are interested.
brokenpole said… Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
Marie B said… say are you on Twitter? I know someone there that could def answer your questions. I think he's on Tu, I just have to remember his name here.
Marie B said… well not too long after joining, I was alerted by our group here that some Spirits had been recalled because of a "sticky" up/down button. turns out mine was one, so I actually called them and got it replaced before they could even send me a letter about it. Rob Muller is a member here who works for Roche and he's great. add him as a friend.
I think I got my first disetronics pump in 1990. I've never used another brand. I haven't had to go on shots this entire time, and I've had a few pump accidents and malfunctions. it's a comfort to know I just need to switch over to my spare and carry on, and they'll send me a new one the next day. I wouldn't trade that for anything. not to mention the customer service, so kind, prompt, patient. Having been a member of Tu for 4 years now, I've seen the stories from other pump users.
