We want real food!

For all those diabetics who are tired of tasteless, drab and generally unappealing recipes aimed at us. I'm taking a stand--who wants to join me? Post your healthy, but TASTY recipes that you love!

If you have tattoos, or simply admire others' ink, this is your home! If you've ever had people say, "Tattoos? But you're diabetic!", come on in! Share artists, responsible studios, locales...A place to share your ink (keep it tasteful, kiddies!)See More

"I am making a pesto sauce that I add almonds to. You could also add pine nuts. My pasta I add it to is about half steamed broccoli and a pasta made with chia seeds. Kind of like sneaking protein in there and the veggies make it not so high in carbs."

I'm majoring in Geology (Volcanology). I love being outside (backpacking, caving, camping, etc). I *love* to cook *anything*, but my specialty is turning recipes into healthier versions of themselves--if it doesn't taste good, why bother eating it? I also love tearing up the yard ("landscaping"), dogs (we have a rescue Giant Schnauzer named Django), and tattoos--I *love* tattoos...I also *heart* my insulin pump!
These are my beloved mountains..

Hi Caolite,
My name is Caitlin and I just relocated to TN from Manhattan. I am interested in meeting others with type 1 in TN as I had a large group of people I knew in NY and obviously it's very different here- doctor/healthcare wise, etc. I was wondering if you would be interested/willing to meet for dinner or a drink sometime in the next few weeks? My email is Caitlin.L.McEnery@vanderbilt.edu. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey there! How's life treating you, amiga?

BTW, would you mind adding a photo to the Inked Diabetics group, so we can go ahead and feature it on the main page of the community?

Take care.
