I am on MDI. In the last few weeks I have noticed my morning numbers going up. I am thinking dawn phenomenon. In any event I decided to raise my basal by one. I was using a new pen and when I clicked…Continue

I see a lot of people on MDI slit their Lantus dose in half and take one shot in the morning and one at night. This has been suggested for those who experience dawn phenomenon as well as those who…Continue

"I agree Sally. While it seems the pumpers maintain great control due to the ability to make minor tweaks here and there, I do think people on MDI cn have good control. There are pros and cons to both I think."

drsoosie replied to drsoosie's discussion 'How Many lows per month is acceptable to you?'
"This may cause controversy but basically the way I stay somewhat stable on MDI is that I just don't eat a lot. Once I establish a basal that works, I find eating three meals just doesn't work well for me. I don't have a great hunger…"

Susie, I am doing very well, even though it has been only 5 days since the surgery.

I want you to know that the fall damaged my head, but not my teeth. They are in great shape!! Lol!

Our Annual Campaign is coming!

Would you consider helping by writing a short comment/testimonial about your
experiences at TuD? The main message for the campaign this year is that no
one with diabetes should ever feel alone. Messages from our community give
people a real-life, personal sense of how valuable TuDiabetes is to each of
us, how it's changed our lives, etc.

If you can, please include a photo of you doing something diabetic (if that
makes sense LOL). Please post to this group
(http://www.tudiabetes.org/group/why-i-participate-in-this-community), or
message to me from my page.

Thanks my friends!

Pssst.... pass it on!

I just wanted to stop by to see if you've done your Big Blue Test Today. Dont' forget that every time you log a Big Blue Test $5 is donated to diabetes charities that are providing life-saving supplies and services.

If you haven't yet, go log a Big Blue Test at http://www.bigbluetest.org/. If you have, do another!
