116 is not high! you must be in perfect control of your diabetes then! if i could keep my blood sugar at 116 all the time it would be amazing!

Because of all the variables, comparing between bottles of test strips or between meters never is very helpful. It just leaves us wondering which number is "right." And probably none of them are, compared to a lab reading! It may be best to take ...

Did you wash your hands with soap and water and test again? Residue on our hands is one of the most common reasons for varying readings. And make sure you had the code right for each of the two bottles of strips.

If there is any way that a person can get by without the prednizone I would do it. I am suffering the effects of 20+ years of being on prednizone. It has caused my diabetes and shut my adrenal glands down. Don't get me wrong there are times we don't have a choice I just wish that years ago I had done more research to make better informed decesions rather that just letting the doctors constantly up it and keep me on it. I am having a MAJOR lupus flair right now and so I am not up and on the computer much right now but keep in touch I will try and write back.
