Alittle about me

Well Where to start... I am a 32 year old mother of a 12 year old Type 1. He was diagnosed February 28, 2006. He was over 1600. They never could give me an exact number. He was VERY sick. He was almost in a coma when the doctor we used back then caught it. We had been taken him for 2 months. I knew something was not right. My friend here is on insulin. . and she told me the other day to just go on insulin and not worry about it. .Iam trying to make myself more comfortable with the idea of it. . . but it seems like failure, too. . . because I've been told that if you are only on meds, then it is possible to pull yourself back to non-dabetic status. . but if you are on insulin, then you stay on insulin. . . . (that is what I have been told). . .
Went to diatician this afternoon and just got back. . only gained three pounds while I was gone! woo hoo! and my weight mass went down. . which means I lost some fat. . . . not quite sure how thatone happened!. . . i will look for ya later so we can chat and catch up a bit . . . . . . love ya,
Amy

hey, i'm doing alright diabetes-wise, just hoping that my endo will tell me soon whether i am type 1 or 2; currently that is very, very unclear. i'm enjoying my last weekend of freedom. my second year at college starts next week, and though i'm a little excited about going back, i guess i'm a little nervous about handling the big D and college together. but i am sure i'll do fine after a while! :)
