BTW, our friend Skid was lucky. The angioplasty improved circulation a lot and only his toe was amputated. Very scary times.

Praying for our friend Mike. The blister on his toe got infected. Best case scenario, he only loses his toe. I hate diabetes.

Thanks for clearing it up for me. Sorry for the delay in responding, been stressed out with my new Doc. Found out today my A1C is 6.9, a bit higher than 6.3 a couple months ago. I hope the baha goes well.

When I saw the event title a certain thing popped out, it was PSA. What does it mean? Well, I had that blood test done years ago and PSA is a test for cancer in men. But I would like to hear what it means?

Ok Fauna - thanks for the heads up about the Nevada race in December. Maybe that will be more affordable for me (hey - I could renew my 20th anniversary wedding vows with Elvis - want to be my bridesmaid???). Bug Jim to send me some info on the Baja 1000 if he has time. I want to make sure that Richard is taking care of himself (he never seemed to test his BG's when I was with him, felt like doing the Mum nagging bit, but figured he knows what he's doing). Au revoir for now!

Hey Fauna - just found out that Jim - your main squeeze (I'm presuming you are his better half - please tell me if I'm wrong - PLEASE) - is also here at Tudiabetes. So, requested info on Baja 1000 - maybe coming up for it - if I can find cheap flight/motel/etc. Also, seeing if Body1 (aka Diabetes1.org that I work for) will help sponsor you and your team! I just know that Richard and Jim really got my salvia juices going to inhaling sand dune dust into my lungs (cough, cough ) .
