"Happy to be your buddy! Are you logging all your readings? An endo will want to review them. Docs & insurance companies like CGMs more to track lows for patients on insulin since those present an immediate danger."

question re the glucose readings/guides

Posted on May 22, 2010 at 12:27pm 16 Comments

is it possible that for some people there's a natural need for more sugar in their blood, to function. that even though tests indicates a diabetic they will not suffer from any of the ills of diabetes. it seems that the ranges/guides are too cut in dry.

counting carbs am i doing it correctly

Posted on May 19, 2010 at 6:25pm 8 Comments

i understand that if i'm to stay within the 16 carb choices/limit per day and each carb choice is 100 grams of carbohydrate. for example 1 thin slice of american bread has 100 grams of carbs. does that mean i can have 16 slices of bread a day ? thanks all for help

Hi Frank!

As for support groups, check with your local hospital. A lot of hospitals have their own support groups. I know Garden City has one as well as Port Huron.
