"Congrats on the A1c of 5.7!!! That was my last A1c too! Now after almost a year and a half on the pump and using a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) I have learned to use the pump but it is not ideal. There are times that I don't hear the…"

"The Original Poster is accurate. The tslim will only string 2 maximum boluses together. So if you need more than 50u of insulin at once it won't do it. You have to string two together and then remember to take that third bolus yourself. I…"

Suz replied to gbbassethound's discussion 'Issue with T:slim for type 2 with high insulin use' in the group Tandem T:Slim Users
"I did not know this either. My bolus using MDI is 1:1. I try to keep my carb intake very low because I've found that the insulin just doesn't work as well if I eat a lot of carbs, but even so, that's frustrating. I would never eat the…"

Welcome to the family!! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of what you will learn is that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and vent to, if needed.
