I'd posted a bunch about a year back, when I had first been diagnosed with severe retinopathy in both eyes, and was going through my first laser surgeries. (For any who remember, I finally got health insuance, yay!) I just had my fifth laser surgery and Avastin treatment on Friday, and I'm frustrated that my Doc can't seem to give me any answers about what the future holds for me. No word on what is really going on until my eye surgeon gets back from vacation later in the week. I trust that God will hold me together until then, and through the process of going through more surgery on both eyes,"

In need of prayer for my eyes
Hello all,It's been quite a while since I was on here. I had laser surgery for retinopathy back in February, and all was going well. I recovered quickly, and the prognosis looked really good, then tonight (about an hour ago) My right eye started bleeding inside. According to the eye doctor, no one can do anything to get it to stop bleeding...we just have to wait for it to stop, and then treat the eye from there.And to top it all off, my surgeon is out of the country until Thursday!I need…See More

- Hi there and welcome!! I noticed you live in VA too. :0) I also see you are on the Animas pump. I use Medtronic and love it but my warranty on it will be up in less than a year so I'm considering possibly changing to Animas, but not sure since I've had good luck with Medtronic. How have you liked yours?
