Hi

Hi - my name is Becky and I have a 7 year old named Grayson who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 3 1/2. He is currently wearing a Deltec Cozmo pump. He is a very brave little boy. I am praying for a cure, but in the mean time we take it one day at a time. Grayson just started 2nd grade.

Hey Ron -- you may use this image anyway you would like - we do not want any reimbursement. Funny -- my husband originally got the idea when he was thinking of the whole "buy Danish" thing -- both Novolog and Legos are Danish products. Our 7 year old is also a big fan of Legos and had those little medical people and he just thought it would be fun.

Take care good luck with it.

PS -- we live south of Nashville (Spring Hill)

I have set a date, time and place for a Tennessee gathering. Check out the events page for October 11th, or see the Tenn Diabetics group for more information.

Hey Becky. I am trying to get a little feedback to see if people might be interested in a gathering/get together/picnic sometime between now and early fall. It would probably be in the mid-state area. If you think you might be interested, let me know. If I get enough good feedback, I will set a date/time/place.
Thanks!

Hello Becky!
Grayson is this week's winner. Congrats!!!

Please read in the post I just wrote about it on the Contest Discussion Topic, so that he may choose which stuffed animal he wants.

Becky,
Riley starts kindergarten in a month. He has never stayed with anyone other than me, my husband, or my mom. This is going to be a big step for us.

I just started working on a notebook for his teacher to have with information in it about lows and highs, etc. It's not sitting well with me.

But, like you, I'm doing a lot of praying. I hope that when the day finally comes I will be at peace with it.

Welcome aboard, Becky!! Grayson seems indeed like a brave little man and his A1C shows both, his determination and your dedication.
