Lipitor and Diabetes

Hi there. I've just read and heard about all the possible problems with taking Lipitor. I was diagnosed with Type 2 some 4 years ago and at that time did not have any problems with cholestrol. My cholestrol numbers are very low. I'm just wondering whether there is any need to be taking Lipitor with my Diabetes medications of Metformin tabs and Ramipril for blood pressure.
