A1c at home

Alright I did one of those at home A1c by Bayer I am sorry but those have to be way off. (at least in my case) Last month at my endo my A1c was 6.2 since then my numbers have stayed around that. I took one of those at home A1c and it said 8.1. I was really wanting to see something like 5.9 but I know My numbers aren't high enough to have A1c of 8.1. Not even close. Has anybody else have this problem with the at home A1c.KatySee More

Advocate meter

I use the Advocate Meter. It is the cheapest test strips i can find. I don't have insurance. Sometimes i found they are pretty accurate compared to one touch but that is not always the case. I wonder if it is reading lower then i really am. Another thing i notice is it can test twice and be 50 points off (sometimes). Does anybody use this meter and what is your opinion on it. Also is there another accurate meter that test strips are cheap.
