Leanna said… Hey I noticed your post in the Diabetics who wear medical id group even though you posted it quite a while ago. If your still looking for an id thats good for lots of walking maybe you'd like these http://www.idonme.com/pendants.php They also sell bracelets. I just ordered a necklace and am excited to try it!

Doris D said… hey TuD is doing it's yearly fundraising to keep this site here for us and others please give as little as a dollar to keep it here! it's a great place for all us d's to meet and talk they need to pay their light bills and such to keep them here with us! Please take time to give a little for the future diabetics of the world

I just wanted to stop by to see if you've done your Big Blue Test Today. Dont' forget that every time you log a Big Blue Test $5 is donated to diabetes charities that are providing life-saving supplies and services.
If you haven't yet, go log a Big Blue Test at http://www.bigbluetest.org/. If you have, do another!
FatCatAnna said… Thanks for the friendship request - hopefully you didn't send it too long ago (I don't have much time lately to go to all my fav diabetic hangouts). So, what type of tattoo are you getting? To post your pic on Flickr - it's pretty easy - just follow the instructions and you should do okay.

Hello! Thank you for having me as a friend javamom :)
Pennsburg....so far away, but it feels like you're right here! That's one of the appealing factors of tu.diabetes. I'm in Canada...in the southwestern part of the province of Ontario...a city named Kitchener-Waterloo (2 cities joined together). I'm a wife of 33 years (hubby is also diabetic), mom to two grown children (one 28, the other 26), a grandma to 3 lovable little boys, a teacher, and before that an illustrator (still do some) and graphic designer....I speak French fluently, I read, history fascinates me, I paint, sing, walk, garden, ski, ride my bike....did I mention "read"? I love having friends over, I bake/cook, am an eclectic music lover, an animal lover...the ocean...ah the ocean...it speaks to me! Oh...and I have diabetes (and a few other things). Diabetes is also a red thread in my family quilt...both type 1 and type 2!
Nice to have you as a friend!!! Tell me a bit about yourself!
Keep in touch, ok?
hugs....linda

We're so happy that you're finally here!
Welcome home javamom....
Wow....the light font on the dark red page makes it very hard to read!
This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups".
Once in, you can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.

Hey, why don't you come join us in the TuD chat room?
You'll see us at the bottom of the home page.
We have a great time getting to know each other, sharing info and lots of laughs :)
It's on right now!
