I can only begin to imagine the feelings that you had as a 12 year-old trying to figure out what was going on.
The reason that I think of my diabetes like a relationship (strong friendship, marriage, parental relationship,etc) is not because I'm positive about it ALL the time, but because it is always there and just like other relationships, I can get frustrated some days.... have reasons to celebrate others.
But I think that the best thing for my diabetes control was giving up the "fight" against diabetes.
I'm glad you are here .... it's SO much better not to be alone!!

I got it about 1-2 monthes ago but I have been on other pumps since 1999. I live in Seattle but am in Chicago several times a year becasue my family lives there.
