FYI when the new pods come out the PDM change is manditory and there is no charge as I understand from there investor statement. They make up the cost of the new PDM in the first shipment of pods. I struggle with the cost but love the system. Hope all is well with you.
First off, your girls are beautiful!
I didn't want to post this on the public boards, since i know that discussing such personal things infront of the whole world can be painful. I don't know your personal situation, or if you are even interested in checking into this, but based on some of your comments, you may be able to push for more than 60/40 custody. My brother started with that, and now they are more at 85/15. None of my nieces and nephews have any chronic health problems (just more mental and emmotional scarring from an off balance mother). The courts take it very seriously when one parent wont follow through on medically necissary care. I will be praying for you and your girls. D is hard enough to deal with when you have 2 parents on board and in agreement. Doing it on your own, and against a reluctant parent has got to be extremely tough.
Jacob's mom said… Hi jms, i just want to let you know i feel your pain, i can't imagine handling diabetes and divorce it is so important to be on the same page when caring for your D child, we have our family struggles and just this weekend we had some highs and my husband and i were discussing things and jacob said you wouldnt be arguing if i didnt have diabetes ( meanwhile i was thinking we might not be still married if you didnt have diabetes!) it is so important for me to instill in him normalcy and support so he can better learn and deal with his D as just another part of his life. i would have a serious talk with your ex about her ego and it's effect on her precious daughter, she needs to leave the drama behind and work on making her daughter feel safe and supported, this site is awesome for support and information you are obviously a good dad, doing your best one day at a time is probably the best way to get through this tough time hang in there! amy
Jacob's mom said… Hi jms , it sounds like she is going in the the right direction, it might take another day or so for her bs's to settle out but as long as ketones are almost gone you are probably out of the woods, lots of fluids is the best action when they are under the weather and ketones are on board, glad she is doing better, hang in there, this is a great site for support and info. all the best, amy
