Here goes then... I have been a type 1 for 20yrs, it has been a complete pain in the bottom the whole time, well most of the time. it all started when i started passing lots of urine, drinking lots amd losing loads of weight. I remember walking home from school one day and i had to lie down by the side of the road, i was exhausted. Eventually, i was taken to the docs, my parents didn't want to face it, went to hospital that evening. Took to the whole thing really well, until i hit the terrible teens. That was when the whole thing went down the tubes. My father then passed away, so all in all control went out the window. By some sort of fluke i made it to university, didn't finish my degree, kept going to hospital. Moved home met lovely Patrick, have two beautiful little girls now, quite happy. Teaching Irish if anyone wants to learn. Lots of ups and downs in between, diagnosed with depression, i understand there is a link. I am on the way to better help, this site is great, it can only do good.

Hey Josephine - I'm clearing out my comments page - because people were saying they can't post there for some reason - and came across a few of your "hellos" to me when I first joined up. I'm still here! I hope you are doing alright!
