"There is a Robitussin for Dx. I took that when I was sick with a cold.
Of course, being sick, I couldn't exercise either, so that ads to the high BG and not being able to bring it down due to exercise."

I am currently still on Humulin R U-500 insulin. As far as getting it resolved, kind of yes, kind of no. My resolution ends up being gastric bypass surgery, which should eliminate my need for insulin entirely. Part of the financial decision was based on the fact that for the past two years, the cost of the U-500 has doubled each year. With many calls, to many people, I found that there is no oversight on prescription pricing. They can raise the price as often as they would like, to what ever price they choose, as often as they want. The only good news that I can tell you is that the E. Lilly company will give you one sample bottle a year. Even my attempts to find out why there have been such drastic price increases, was met with the response, "we don't set the price you pay. You will have to check with your pharmacist." That must be their set deflection, because I receive the same exact wording from numerous people. It is ridiculous that any pharmacist would know why the price of production would increase for their corporation. So I never got an answer on then that either. My next step would have been letters to my congressmen, senators, and possibly even go to TV shows that help intercede or expose injust or deceptive marketing. Several local news stations locally do segments like that.
Ugh would you belive no? I've been busy babysitting my grandchildren and messing with them so I haven't had time to mess with me! Daddy just came and got all 3 YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now let them deal with that month old who cried for about 2 hours today when his mom left! Sorry just thankful for QUITE! But I can't really help you out there ask the question on our fourm and I bet there are some folks out there who have tried it and can tell you what it done to their bs and if you should use it!
I lost my mom then about a year later found out I was going to be a grandma to my 17 yearolds first baby! Talk about a hard time!! I didn't think I was OLD ENOUGH to be a grandmother then! Now she has 3 kids 3 1/2 almost 2 and 5 weeks old! I think she's trying to make me old and from the wrinkels I've gotten from it I think she succeding! HA! I know how you feel and if you ever need to talk just come to my page and spill the beans! Honey I know where you are at right now and I know just getting all those mixed up feelings can get you down!
that's great that you've steered yourself back on track. one thing I love about TuD is we are real about the difficulties of d, and how we ALL stumble and fall and can't figure things out. and then, maybe, we post a vent, a cry for help, and lo-and-behold someone we don't even know says, "I've been there, I understand" and they kinda lend there hand out to help you get back up. I tell everybody I've had type1 for 42 years, and the past two years on TuDiabetes has changed my life.
