jwmiller64 replied to Jared's discussion 'Disappointed with service from Insulet and OmniPod' in the group OmniPod Users
"A couple of different problems. On one the cannula failed to insert, another couple had communication errors with the pdm and wouldn't activate. I was able to withdraw the insulin from them and use it in a fresh pod."

jwmiller64 replied to Jared's discussion 'Disappointed with service from Insulet and OmniPod' in the group OmniPod Users
"When my wife started the omnipod there was a mix up as well. No one contacted her and she was slow to contact them. (they apologized for the mixup) However once she got going, she couldn't be happier. Very few problems (3 bad pods out of 40)…"

jwmiller64 replied to Michele Stark's discussion 'Living without type 1. so how does this work?'
"This thread is too good to resist. Even if all of what the original poster and MaddiesMom said was true, it seems as if the diet would be more work than standard treatment of administering the insulin you need."

jwmiller64 replied to kittiecouture's discussion 'PC or Mac' in the group OmniPod Users
"Well I tried again. The software runs but unfortunately plugging in the cable causes a PDM error that requires a hard reset thus losing all the PDM settings. I wonder if it is just my setup or if others would have the same results."

jwmiller64 replied to kittiecouture's discussion 'PC or Mac' in the group OmniPod Users

jwmiller64 replied to Donna K's discussion 'Kashi Go Lean Cereals - Cause Unexplained Highs'
"I think I may have to do with the cane sugar. Looking at the list of ingredients, it is pretty near the top. I used to love the Go Lean Crunch, even sweeter. I think of it as candy even though it has a lot of fiber."

Lisa Dalbec Fiecke replied to jwmiller64's discussion 'Minnesota users' in the group OmniPod Users
"Hi John- We live in MN, my son has been on the pump since Jan. of this year. I have to say I am not impressed the the rep we had from Omni Pod. She did come to our house for training for about 2 hrs, sure she knows the specifics of the pdm and…"

"My son is on the Omnipod, for about a year now. This was our first pump. It has issues as I believe any piece of equipment does, but over all we love the freedom it has allowed us. We had a 2-3 training in our endo's office with the trainer (a…"

"Vickie, The Omnipod was my first pump; in fact I waited for it to be available in my area rather than go on a tubed pump. I found the Omnipod simple to use and the automatic insertion adds to the ease of use. Just my two cents. Linda"
