Lost my best friend, Roo, my austrailian shepard/husky mix, this week after 15 years together.

I had to put my best friend down this week due to problems from old age and arthritis. He was 15 years old and had been with me since he was 4 weeks old. I couldn't stand to see the pain hw was in due to the joint problems, lost hearing and eyesight. Monday I returned to the foot doctor and he once again put shots in my heels and taped my feet up. But, he also cut both sides of my big toes to remove ingrown toe nails and make it so they wouldn't in grow anymore. I was concerned about it because I realized I could no longer cut them out myself and risk the possibility of infection, not with type 1 Diabetes. So i have been trying to wor… Continue

something strange going on..lol

Somehow i have managed to get 2 different profiles in this group and I have no clue how to make them into one, (any suggestions Manny?) So anyway since this one seems to be the one I can use now and none of my blogs from before have shown up I thought i would start a new one.
First a little about me, I am 48 as of last march, was diagnosed with type 1 this past January. It was a total blind-sided deal as I had no idea before hand. I figured if I got diabetes it would be the type2 that runs in th… Continue
