"You don't have to fill up the pump cartridge. Depending on what your TDD is, you can fill it with whatever you use for the three days you keep an infusion set in. Or you can fill it if you want and then just transfer the cartridge to the next…"

How much insulin is enough?

I received my actual pump this weekend, the Ping, and have my training session set up for Thursday. It takes a couple weeks for prescriptions to be processed and shipped with my insurance so I had my doctor call in an order at a local pharmacy so I would have insulin when I went to get started. Picking it up today, the vial read that it has 100 units. On the box however it says that I will be filling up my pump with 300 units each day. This doesn't make much sense to me.
