(hi kelly, I wanted to post this on your blog, but for some reason I couldn't.)

I was thinking about #chiapet for #diabetes! and I thought that my choice would be a replica of the head of Manny Hernandez! the areas to grow the sprouts could be on the top of the head, of course, but also the beard area. You know how he's always changing his beard-style? personally, I prefer the clean-shaven Manny, but this would give everyone in the DOC their opportunity to have their favorite!

Hey Kelly - thanks for the friends add. Hey, I was in Philly last month! Okay, maybe not really "in" Philly. Had a layover for my next flight, but still, you're a hop and a skip away from us! See you around the sandbox!

Hello Kelly! I love my Animas pump. It's the only one I have had so I can't compare directly to others. In Canada theere were only three choices for me. Animas, Medtronic and Cosmo. Didn't like the look of the Cosmo, so I didn't really consider it! I have always been a supporter of smaller businesses and "the little guy" so I liked Animas more right away. Someone along the way told me that Medtronic had 90% market share of pumps sold in Canada!
The 2020 is smaller than Medtronic, and has lots of the same features (carb counting and delayed boluses, etc. I liked that it also had the smallest basal increments available. Officially, it is also waterproof. I have had one warranty issue, and a new one was delivered to me in 40 minutes---on a Sunday morning no less!!!
Let me know if you have any specific questions,
Nadine

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly. I follow you on Twitter - and didn't know you were here in Tuville. I don't frequent Twitter as much as many of your Super PWD's - even tho' my boss at Body1 would hope I would (I write about living with diabetes for 42 years). Anyway, now I understand why everyone is wearing an eyepatch! You actually look quite good with it - very mysterious. As others have said here - keep on smiling away - I find humour is the best thing to get us PWD's thru' all the crapppola that flies our way (I'm a survivor of cancer twice now - diabetes is easier then the big C IMHO). I will subsciously wear an eyepatch in your honour - Oh Pirate Master that you are - I'll be a parrot on your shoulder anytime you need me! Take care!

Kelly, the news about your eye is devastating. You are much loved and admired here on TuD and the DOC. I am joining the many who are praying and sending healing thoughts your way.
