morning, ken.

I'm about 30 miles west of austin off hwy 290. it has the advantages of the country and the proximity of a large city. Not great for gardens, though. I grew up in pasadena, then air force, to laport for 10 yrs and then to grapeland, tx for 15. I moved here a year ago. I am thinking about trying the "snowbird" routine....North for summer, texas for winter, so first opportunity I'll give it a try.
You getting any rain down there? There is a high pressure system over us and will not go away. The heat is terrible.

LOL Ken....you are so right - fish and chip shops are absolutely everywhere here in U.K.....though being taken over by curry houses now, as well. the best fish and chips I ever have is in Hastings by the sea, where I was brought up - walking along the seafront with fish and chips in NEWSPAPER..that is the best..:) take care....Cathrynn
