Don't let the disease get the best of you. I've had diabetes for over 50 years going on 51 years. Sure I had my ups and down however, never let the disease get the upper hand.

Hi how are you today?

I'm sorry that you have to struggle with that. It's hard living with something that you can't control. I really think that this site is going to be so beneficial to me. The only people I know that are diabetics are 60 + and they don't care what they eat, monitor it or anything, so they haven't been much help. Thank you for taking time to help me out.

Can you grow out of type 1 diabeties? I've heard of one that you can. I really like this site. It's encouraging.

What actually is the difference between type 1 and type 2, several people have told me that I may develop type 2.

Sorry, I guess I forgot to say "welcome to Tu Diabetes".

Oh my goodness - the pancreas is just wild! You are very clever. (I freak if I don't have a pattern to follow.)
I'd really like to have a chat about knitting at some point and see other things you've done. I am partial to lace knitting, felting, Aran sweaters and Latvian mittens.
I usually have about 5 projects going at once. I have carpal tunnel and if I do short spans and then switch to a different size needle I can knit for a long time.

Did you knit the insulin sock? Please say yes, because I have been knitting since I was 10 and continue to do so everyday.

Hi,
Welcome to the tudiabetes.com family. Great A1c. Keep up the great control. We love to see it.

Here are a few tips on how to make the most of the site. I invite you check out the different groups; we have: there's an excellent chance you will find more than a few that you can identify with.

If you find the community useful, I'd be honored if you could link to us on your blog/site if you have one or invite; family members, friends, colleagues and anyone whom you feel may benefit from it.

Also, if you know of any local newspapers, TV or radio stations that you feel could be interested in writing about our community, please let them know about our recent Press Release, announcing the community: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/8/prweb546849.htm;

Last, if you run into Spanish-only speaking folks, please let them know about EsTuDiabetes.com; our sister Spanish-speaking community.

Once again, welcome to the family and we look forward to hearing from you.
