Happy to announce that our trial with kids is showing that our group with the 'magic report' have reduced A1c by over 0.6 compared to the control group. They do practically nothing but receive our report and then look at it about once a week. This frequent thoughtful review, which takes all of about a minute, appears to be the reason behind this significant improvement in blood sugar control.

Compared to everything else I know this method of review is generating far superior outcomes… Continue

Type 2 Social Networking Clinical Trial Results Presented at ADA Scientific

Posted on June 29, 2007 at 6:57am 3 Comments

See my post at ChallengeDiabetes.com

84% of type 2 participants reduced their A1c an average of 1.1 pts on the A1c! This stuff takes a long time to put together so comments from the Tu community would be greatly appreciated.

More data on type 1 trials will be published shortly. And, a new trial for gestational diabetes is kicking off soon.

Oh, gosh! I guess you don't get the "don't eat sugar" comments! LOL, the first time I saw your pic, it said you have Type 1... I see now that you work in diabetes research! That's great! Thanks, BTW ;) Anywhoo... I'm still bound and determined to make a video explaining the differences between Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes and the breakdown/difference between CHO and sugar (pardon the pun, LOL hee hee)... So glad to be new friends!!! :D

Hi Kevin! LOL, I'm sure you can relate - I always get the comments from friends & family saying "Don't eat sugar!" or "You CAN'T eat sugar!" and they think i GOT diabetes from eating TOO MUCH of it! LOL... I'm trying to find the end-all, be-all video to stop this myth from continuing... To no avail, however, LOL. Maybe I can do more research and make MY OWN video! I think my head is going to explode the next time my aunt points to me from across the room at a birthday party, as I'm getting some cake, and yells "YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT!.... here, eat more pizza" LOL (she's a nurse, too... sad sad sad!)

Kevin,

I do most of my blogging at www.threeyearsfree.blogspot.com.

I too take my son further for his pump. The local pediatric endo would not consider putting him on one. He was 3 when he started on it and he's done very well with it.

Glad to have you at Tu.

Hi Kevin!

That's what they tell me - my eyes have been stuck like this for a while now. I'm trying to get it all "straightened out"...

Nicole P has been trying to help me out, but no luck so far.
