- I have had diabetes for eleven years and it has been hard. I grew up with it and I've heard it all, the bullying, the questions, the curiosity, everything. I'm now a Senior in high school and for my exit project I'm creating a blog to benefit kids who are growing up with diabetes. I hope that it not only helps the kids but the parents too.

Hi my name is Laura Allen, I'm from Michigan where I currently attend, as a senior, at Goodrich High School. As a senior I am required to complete a "capstone project" where I have to write a detailed research paper and create a project that relates to my research paper. I have chosen to create a blog about diabetes, how to control it, sharing stories, tips, etc. I hope that I can accomplish this with this site, so far I like it.
