Tubeguard

I was thinking that I'd add a post about a gadget I ordered from the US and got last week. Its called a tubeguard and it seems like very few people have used one, and there is hardly any info on the net. When I was looking for info about ways to deal with tubing, I thought this gadget might be an idea, so here is a 'review':

What I think:
I think it is easy to use and looks ok. For me personally it comes in handy when I am at home, simply because I have puppies that jump all over… Continue

Thanks so much! Discovery are definitely looking good to me. I didn't realise they covered pumps. I'm in the Eastern Cape. My doctor is affiliated with the CDE in Jozi though, so perhaps they will work with him too. Which plan are you on?

Hi -light-

I see that you're on Discovery Health. I'm thinking of switching to them. Are they any good? How much of the diabetic supplies do they cover - specifically test strips? I started a discussion about it here.

Hi -light- I see you also live in South Africa, and that you're also a student. I'm doing Psychology Masters at the moment.

Hey! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, things have been so hectic!

I know, it's crazy how Christmas seems to get earlier and earlier every year...but I'm a big kid about it so I can't complain. :P

Congratulations on getting that headwrecking UCAS form sent off - it's a horrible old thing isn't it?! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get what you want from it, and I'm sure you will. :)

I would love to be a clinical psychologist but getting into the doctorate course for that is pretty much impossible...but I'd like to work with people in some way, it'll all just depend on what happens in July when I graduate...scary stuff lol. I do a lot of voluntary work at the minute so I'm hoping that'll help me work out what way I'd like to go after I finish at university!

Hows everything with you??

Bronagh x

Aww it's a pity about that, but I remember when I was choosing universities I looked at info about Nottingham and Kent and they both seemed great!! Hope your personal statement is coming along alright, I hated that part lol.

Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous and Moppy is such a cool name (so is Zoe, but you just have to love Moppy the mop :P) I really want to hug them haha!

I applied for two courses at Queen's (the university I'm at now), and two in Coleraine (university of Ulster) and the others were Swansea and Southampton. I got offers for them all but I decided to pick Queen's as my first choice and Coleraine as my back up. :)

That really sucks about losing your motorbike :( I'm glad you didn't get hurt though, that's the main thing!

Apparently it might be after Christmas before I can get it but as long as I actually get it, that's not bothering me!! If I do get it, it's a minimed paradigm so I think it'll most likely be the same as yours :D

Hope things are good?! xx

Ahhh that's so cool, you should come to Belfast :D Which UK universities are you thinking of so far? I had thought a lot about going to England and got accepted into all my choices over there...but I wanted to stay a little closer to home lol.

I'm so glad you're settling in with the pump, although that accident sounds really scary. Were you okay afterwards? I hope you're alright now!!

Aww would love to see pictures of your dogs, what are they called? Lol I actually only have one dog but I posted up pictures of when he was a puppy and some of him now as well so he looks a little different. He's a little monkey at times lol! x

Great to hear from ya! :) I eventually tracked down the person I had to talk to about it, and it looks like I'll be getting it, there just might be a bit of a wait first. If and when I do get it, it'll be the paradigm (she didn't say which one) so I'm really excited but nervous as well because I'm worried I'll mess up lol.

How are you getting on with your pump? I hope everything is good with you!

That sounds fantastic, I hope they're working out well for you!

That's right, although it's not mine, I just saw it on the PostSecret website and liked it so I hope the person who sent it in doesn't mind.

Haha I'm exactly the same with books, I have to make myself avoid bookshops at times because I go a little bit wild lol!! x
