Lindsey,

I actually decided to start the Omnipod about 2 months ago now and I absolutely love it. I wish I did it years ago, although I don't think I was "mentally there" until this year. I had the same fears you did - wearing something attached to you all the time, etc. I can't believe how easy it is and how you really forget about it even being there! My last A1C was 5.8, but only about half of the 3 months was using the pump. I had TONS of lows when I first started...I ate an entire bag of marshmallows the first week I was on it because I was going low many times each day. I'm taking less than half of the amount of insulin I was taking with shots (was taking about 4 shots per day before).

Anyway, thanks for responding - I wish you all the best!

Lindsey, saw your comments about Omnipod. Sorry about your experience. I work for Insulet in AR/TN/MS. I am the TM for that area. Have you called your rep for some help? What about the CS? I must say that a small minority of patients might experience some bad times, but they are quite far and few between. I think if your rep knows he/she will come to your aid. Once again I am really sorry for your trouble and will do whatever I can to assist. Take care.
