Anyone put on Lipitor for prevention? I have refused it as the side effects sound horrible. My LDL is 99 ( good for normal population) and I am told it needs to be below 70 if Type 1.Please share…Continue

The Philly meet up will be at Love Park in CC. It is at 16th and JFK Blvd., I think. The Homepage has the info in the event section. You can sign up if you think you can come.Hope you are feeling good. I had stomach problems over the weekend. We ate at a vegetarian rest. and I ha lentil and tabbouleh salad which was too much fiber for me. Take Care

Hi Lisa- I tried a chair yoga class yesterday at a local hosp. I really liked it. The class is just 1/2 hr. Did you ever do yoga in a chair ? The stretching felt good, i think I will go as regularly as I can. BTW, there is going to be a TuD Meet-up on Sunday June 10 from 10 to 12 (noon) in Philly. Manny and Emily will be in for the ADA conference that runs a week, so they are trying to get some Philly area folks together. There will be more info on the HomePage shortly. I hope you can come, I am planning to be there as are about 7-8 others so far. The exact location hasn't been decided, but will be in CC Philly. How have you been otherwise ? How are the kitties ? Hope to hear from you. Cat

Lisa- The "Big" program is actually called LSVTglobal.com. You might want to check it out. It was devised by someone to help Parkinson patients to have better mobility. I found out about it at my PD support group. Like I said in my other post (below) the PT came to my house for the program. I am walking better. Of course, I still take my meds from the neuro. Glad you are feeling better. Did you see the webcast yesterday ? There was a Pharmacist on and he was very good. I think they will have him on again. I think there is a video of the webcast on the "video" part of the Homepage. Check it out. Have a great weekend. Cat

Hi Lisa- How are you doing ? All recovered from the cat scratch fever ? I am OK all around. My BG #'s aren't too bad and my PD has stopped progressing for now. I finished the "Big" exercise program. I think I told you about that. It geared to PD people and is for 4 weeks 4days a week, special exercises by a specially trained PT. She came to my house for the program. Now I have to do it everyday. Just the other day, Jim & I went to a Senior Health and Fitness Expo sponsored by a local Hosp.I participated in a short chair yoga demonstration, it was fun and I could do it without any problems. They have a class at the hosp, and I think I will sign up for the class. It is just 1x a week for 1/2 hr. Have you ever done it ? Jim & I decided to go to CA to visit our daughter and her family, especially our g-son. We haven't seen him since last July. We will go in July for about a week. Our cat sitter has been told the dates. She is the first one we speak to before making reservations. How are your kitties ? Has RoseBud done anything else bad ? I hope not !! Hope you have a nice weekend. Cat

Lisa- So sorry you were ill. Cat scratch fever, WOW !! I never heard of anyone getting it. How did they treat you ? Bad Rosie !!! I did overeat a bit the last 2 nights at the Seders, but I will get back on track today. Were you left with any side effects from the illness ? Hope you have a Happy Easter today. I am sure you will not eat too much. Take care. Cat

HI Lisa- How are you doing ? I am OK and trying to keep my BG in line. Last night Jim and I went to a Passover Seder and am going to another 1 tonight. I have to watch what I eat 'cause there is usually too much food. How are your kitties doing? Mine are enjoying the sunny weather and sit by the screen door.
I want to wish you a Happy Easter and hope you are enjoying the spring weather too. Cat =^..^=

Hi lisa- Long time, no hear !!! How are you doing ? How are the kitties ? I love this spring weather, but I think we will pay for the warm winter we had with many bugs this summer. All of our bulb flowers are blooming as well as the magnolia tree. My kitties are fine, and enjoying the sunny weather. They sit in the dining room window that we open on warm days. My BG has been OK lately. How is yours ? Let me know what's new and take care. Cat =^..^=

Hi Lisa, that's a wonderful offer you made to send a spare insulin pump to Chris. I read one of his earlier posts and felt really bad for him and his son, having an old out-of-warranty pump fail on him and being unable to replace it, yet I couldn't help. You must be a true guardian angel for them. Just wanted to share my appreciation on his behalf.

Hi Lisa- How are things going for you ? I did customize my page, it wasn't hard. Just go to the left column under your profile pic and click customize my page. You will see themes on the top of the page. Click on any of them and see what you like. It isn't permanent until you click publish. I liked the colors in the one I picked.
How are your kitties doing ? We took one of ours to the vet this morning. She has been throwing up the past few days. Can't keep food down at all.Vet thinks it could be from a plant she likes to munch. So Jim took it outside. I hope it helps. There are so many plants that are toxic to cats. This one is a Dracena, looks like a palm tree.
Looks like winter could be over !! That's OK with me. Take care. Cat
