Tet-a-tet with CGM

Posted on June 21, 2007 at 3:43am 3 Comments

Had 3 lows over the past 10 hours, THREE. over the past TEN hours. Needless to say I'm falling from

exhaustion. Oh, and did I mention I'm using an CGM sensor for the last two days that suppose to alarm me if I go high or low? Well, it did, yah, when I was already 2.5 and treating the low.
- "Beeep" reads: "I'm terribly sorry to interrupt but your blood glucose is low", just kidding, "4.9 LOW"
- "You don't say. Thank you very much, but I'm 2.5 actualy and I've…

2nd day pumping

Posted on June 12, 2007 at 6:07am 0 Comments

I usually write on my blog "D and Me" about my life with diabetes, a loyal body-mate of 15+ years. I have type 1 and had been using pens for 15 long years until yesterday, as since yesterday I'm on a pump. Can't quite believe it myself yet, it's so new, but I love it more and more with every minute. Who knew life could be that much easier? Damn those doctors who didn't let me go on the pump earlier.

Hi CJ! Hi Robert! Welcome!
I'm afraid I haven't been here since September though. And my blog hasn't been updated for about the same, should write again sometime, especially that there is so much to tell!

Robert, that sounds very interesting, I'm glad you liked it in the Netherlands. It is a fun country.

I'm glad you're doing well. Those pictures are so cute--is that you as a little girl in the plaid dress? Sounds like you had a lovely 25th birthday--romantic weekend in France? Who whouldn't love that?
Glad to hear back from you!

Keen to hear how you are getting on with your pump... so keep me updated!
