Hi All!  This is my first post on TuDiabetes -- thank you all for the warm welcome!

I never talk about the weather or welcomes.
I have been type 1 since 1959 when I was 4 years old. I went though all of my childhood and teen years struggling with diabetes. I have been through it all, and I have lived through it all. I know what it is like and I will never forget. Being depressed is a normal thing when diabetes happens at a young age. In 1963 I became bipolar so depression was only 50% of my problems back then and for every day since. Diabetes at a young age always brings on psychological problems. I understand this, and after 52 years I am still here and healthy so I have figured out how to survive and it has been a colossal struggle.
Please ask anything you want.
