All this summer has been full of pain. I try to do my best to keep up with everything, but it is hard when I am always hurting. I have so many chronic illnesses that I hesitate to even make a list of them because it might scare me! I spend a lot of time in the hospital, in the ER and at the doctors but nothing seems to help.

Yesterday I spent the whole day planting a very small garden. The weather was hot and steamy. I had to rest a lot. By the time the plants were in I was all heated up and that seemed to put an end to my muscle and bone pain at least for the time being. The job was strenuous but I felt like it helped. Smelling the fresh herbs made me hungry for vegetables already in my freezer. It was quit inspiring to work with the dirt, dig up the roots and weeds and to prepare the soil.
